The number of students admitted to the MSc programme each academic year is set at a minimum of four (4) and a maximum of fifteen (15).
At the end of each spring semester, the School Assembly—based on a recommendation by the Coordinating Committee (C.C.)—announces an open call for applications to the MSc programme.
The call for applications is published in the daily and electronic press, on the website and social media channels of the School of Political Sciences and the MSc programme, and is also sent to related university departments. The announcement includes the admission requirements, the eligible degree holders, the number of available places, the selection criteria and procedure, the application deadlines, and a list of the required documents.
Applications for admission to the MSc programme must be submitted to the Schools’s Secretariat (in either printed or electronic form) and must include the following documents:
-
A copy of the applicant’s undergraduate degree,
-
An official transcript of records for the entire course of studies,
-
A statement of purpose (a well-reasoned document of 500–1000 words outlining the applicant’s general research interests and motivations, as well as their specific interest in the MSc programme),
-
A certificate of foreign language proficiency (in English, French, or German) at a level of at least B2, in accordance with the Council of Europe’s language proficiency framework, and recognized by ASEP (the Supreme Council for Civil Personnel Selection).
In addition to the above mandatory documents, applicants may also submit the following, if available:
-
A Master’s degree (or degrees) from a Greek university or an equivalent institution abroad,
-
A doctoral degree from a Greek university or an equivalent institution abroad,
-
Additional language certificates. Foreign applicants must also submit a certificate of Greek language proficiency (minimum level B2),
-
Evidence of research and publication activity, participation in student mobility or educational programs, and relevant professional experience.
All documents may be submitted either as certified copies or as simple photocopies.
